Charlotte was born in New Zealand and raised in the United Kingdom. After high school she returned to New Zealand and gained a BA in Theater and Film. Upon graduation she started her production company, Random Films, which has since produced many successful feature films. She has produced films in both New Zealand (Boy, Born To Dance, Orphans and Kingdoms) and internationally (Great Expectations (UK), Gloria (Mexico), Bella (USA)).
In 2014 she established Random Films Investments, for investing in film production both in New Zealand and internationally, and in 2014 she also acquired iconic Wellington business Westside Studios, now rebranded as Propeller Studios, a props hire, bespoke build and film studio company. Charlotte has studied at the University of Southern California’s film school, completing the Producing and Directing program at Universal Studios, Los Angeles. Charlotte is also an actor, and trained at New York Film Academy's Los Angeles centre and the prestigious Stella Adler Academy of Acting, also in Los Angeles, where she now sits on the advisory board having set up a scholarship for NZ students dedicated to study at the school. Charlotte is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Women in Film and Television (WIFT NZ), Screen Producers and Directors Association (SPADA, NZ) and Australians in Film. Charlotte now resides in Los Angeles where she produces, acts and is working to complete her BBA in Legal Business and Natural Science and MS in Law. |
